This is the 24th year of Santa Fe Art Colony (SFAC) artists opening their studios to the general public for this exclusive event.
The Santa Fe Art Colony was established in 1988 and was previously a mattress and terry-cloth production factory. Throughout the years, organizations such as the Fellows of Contemporary Art, the MOCA Education Program, the LACMA Modern & Contemporary Art Council, and countless other educational groups have visited the studios at SFAC.
The 2013 Open Studios marks the 24th consecutive year of Santa Fe Art Colony (SFAC) artists opening their studio’s to the general public for this exclusive event. The colony hosts a dynamic collection of studio’s showing a wide range of styles and mediums, including three-dimensional sculpture, gender specific, surrealism, abstract, figurative as well as some classical painting styles.
Studios will be open May 18th & 19th from 12pm to 6pm. Many of the artists are represented by local galleries, as well as teach at schools and universities in the Los Angeles region. Together they work towards building a better community through their artistic vision.
